As part of the extensive work Winkreative produced for Barcelona mixed-use redevelopment Francesc Macià 10, we were asked to communicate the essence of the modernist icon through a series of images that could be applied across a variety of materials, such as sales brochures and printed ads.
We commissioned New York-based photographer Adrian Gaut for his versatility in masterfully capturing both exterior architecture and interior motifs. While highlighting the dramatic use of light that is central to the property – from custom lamps to the shadows created by the façade – Gaut translated the building’s unique shapes into artful compositions in line with the overall visual language of the brand identity.
I art directed this project and spent 5 days in Barcelona for the photo shoot. Working with Adrian, was a lifetime experience and I enjoy observing and learning from him.
